Being a Wikipedian is perhaps not as fashionable as three or four years ago, but it can be huge fun at a variety of levels, and what can be bad about improving the Net's central place for looking things up? There is a perception (mostly false) that Editing is Over, and another (mostly true) that it's a boy thing; women are grievously under-represented.
This talk will cover the pros and (unfortunate) cons of Wikipedia editing, describe the multiple distinct levels at which you can contribute, and highlight some things to stay away from. I'll use, as a teachable test case, an actual edit war on the subject of the sexuality of T.E. Lawrence (""Lawrence of Arabia"").
